The Affiliate Program Explained
An affiliate program is a method of advertising where individuals, or businesses, participate as agents who promote a product. These individuals are called Affiliates and they receive a commission for generating sales for the affiliate program host (in this case, Robert Maxim). Affiliates are provided with various means of identity tracking which is placed on their websites, in their e-mails or in Web search listings. This tracking enables Robert Maxim to associate a sale to the correct affiliate. Whenever a purchase is made that is associated to these tracking codes the affiliate is paid a commission for that sale!
How long will it take to become an affiliate?
Once you complete a simple on-line application and accept our Affiliate Terms of Service Agreement your account is created instantly. You can start earning commissions immediately! There are no long waits! Everything is quick and hassle free!
What skills are needed to become an affiliate?
For verbal recommendations all you need to do is spread the good word about Robert Maxim and pass along your name and Affiliate id. For website links all you only need to be able to do is copy and paste HTML code and place it accurately within the web-page code! If your not too sure how to this we would be glad to help.
Is My Website Eligible To Become An Affiliate?
Most websites will qualify to participate in the program. Anyone may submit an application, but we do reserve the right to refuse membership to a web-site or revoke a web-site's membership at any time if we deem that it contains objectionable material.
I Don't Have a Website. Can I Still Apply?
Yes! We provide you with an Affiliate ID code that you can give to prospective customers. They just have to enter your affiliate ID code, or even just your name, at the time of purchase so that you earn your commission.
What are the requirements my referrals must meet so that I can earn a referral commission?
Your referral must provide your name or affiliate ID code when they make a purchase on our website.
Your referral can not be a current or former Robert Maxim customer and must remain a client in good standing for 30 days.
Tracking, Payment and Reporting
How Much Can I Earn?
You will earn 15% to 20% of all sales completed within 90 days of initial click through from a valid Affiliate link on your website. We can not predict exactly how much you will earn from our Affiliate Program because we don't know anything about your web-site or your visitors. Please see our Affiliate Program information page for more details.
How Do I Know How Much I've Earned?
You can access reports that provide information on affiliate transactions by logging into your Robert Maxim account and clicking on the 'Affiliate center' tab.
How Often Do I Get Paid?
You can request a commission payout at any time. You will receive your commission payment on the first business day after the 15th each month provided your monthly account balance has exceeded $100 and the funds are not on hold to allow for our 30 day new account guarantee.
Do I Earn Commissions On My Own Purchases?
No. Please read the details in the Affiliate Agreement.
What About Product Returns?
If a sale is refunded, or if credit card charges are reversed due to a dispute or credit card fraud, you are responsible for returning the commissions paid to you. Your affiliate account will be debited for any commission earned and transaction costs associated to the refunded transaction.
Who Processes Orders And Handles Customer Service?
We do all of that for the customers that you refer to our site. All you have to do is refer them to us. We do the rest!
How Will You Know That The Orders Came From My web-site?
All Affiliate links that link your site to our site contain a unique identifier. This identifier tells us which Affiliate to credit when a purchase is made. This is only possible, though, when you get all of your links from the HTML generator on our website.
Website Links and Banners
We provide the custom links and banners for you to use on your website. We add your referral link code and you can start referring! You can find all our links and banners on the affiliate page once you are logged in.
