How Tax Is Calculated?
The amount of tax charged depends on where your company is located and the type of service or product purchased.
Customer's located outside Canada are not subject to Canadian taxes.
All businesses located within Canada are subject to the Goods and Services Tax (GST) at 5%.
Canadian businesses located in the province of British Columbia are subject to Provincial Sales Tax (PST) at 7%.
Generally, tax is calculated on the total selling price of each individual item. In accordance with applicable tax laws, the total selling price of an item generally will include service charges, item-level discounts, and an allocation of order-level discounts.
No tax is charged when funds are credited to your account for payment of future invoices. Purchases paid for with account deposits or credits are subject to tax where applicable.
